Here are three organizations I have personally found helpful and life giving as I walk this grief journey.
Center for Loss & Life Transition
This organization is led by Dr. Alan Wolfelt. He is a grief counselor and teacher; I heard of him via resources provided to me from VCU Medical Center, the hospital where Charlotte was delivered. The site is user friendly, objective and also very sensitive toward those grieving loss. Plus, it provides resources to friends/family of how to come along side those grieving.
Hopelifters Unlimited
Founded by Kathe Wunnenberg, this organization’s website offers lots of resources for grievers and their supporters alike. I discovered this organization after purchasing Kathe Wunnenbert’s devotional, Grieving the Loss of a Loved One. Check out all of her books on the organization’s website.
Grief Watch
I discovered this organization after reading the storybook, Tear Soup, co-authored by Pat Schwiebert & Chuck DeKlyen, illustrated by Taylor Bills. Inspired by the authors of this amazing book, Grief Watch provides resources and support for those experiencing any type of loss and counsel for those walking alongside those who are mourning.
